Union Wireless is seeking candidates knowledgeable in IP Transport engineering with a microwave design focus.
Position performs on- and off-net provisioning, grade of service monitoring, network optimization, new site engineering, including preliminary site selection and design, preparation of engineering packages, and preparation of requests for approval and includes coordination of radio frequencies, radio licensing and renewals, microwave backbone design. The ability to conduct an analysis of collocation requirements, both on Company facilities and other carrier facilities is required. Interacts regularly with Marketing, Sales and other organizations on an as-needed basis, (eg, trouble ticket resolution, sales meetings) designs the IP network using MPLS, MLPP and other protocols to build a high capacity, robust network that supports growth for 4G systems and beyond.

Compensation depends on experience and is based on national market data.
Knowledge of IP network design, configuration, and operations using MPLS, MLPP and other protocols required to build a network
Experience with IP Cores
Knowledge of radio frequencies and microwave backbone design
4-year degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Network and Communications Systems
Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of directly related education and experience.
Ideal candidate would have taken curriculum or training in IP and some knowledge of Telecommunications Networking.
Valid Driver's License
Acceptable driving recordEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
